A native New Yorker, Charles Johnson, master hair designer, could just as easily have been Charles Johnson, master chef, as he grew up learning alongside his mother, a hairdresser and his father, a caterer.  As he shuttled back and forth between his mom’s beauty shop and his dad’s kitchen, he eventually chose hair, a fortunate choice for his clients and the world of hair design.
